Her debut album, Spirit, features hip-hop-infused numbers and pop-y ballads such as the midtempo “I’m You,” the Jordin Sparks “Tattoo” sound-alike “Angel” and the piano-driven throwback “You Bring Me Down.” Though neither young woman’s debut showcases either as an artist, seeing where Aguilera went, it will be exciting to see where Lewis takes her career.
